Beginning in 2007, Baldwin, McGaughey & Company in a joint effort with Mister McGoo's restaurant started holding a charity golf tournament each May. The proceeds from the golf tournament go to fund college scholarships for deserving high school seniors in Petaluma through the Petaluma Education Foundation. To date $12,000 has been raised to fund scholarships for local students.
With proceeds from the 2011 charity golf tournament (6) $500 scholarships for a total of $3,000 were given away. The scholarship recipients were Peter Maselli, Austin Mattos, Dylan Parks, Danielle Dolcini, Caley Johnson and Megan Tunzi.
With proceeds from the 2010 charity golf tournament (6) $500 scholarships for a total of $3,000 were given away. The scholarship recipients were Maria Camozzi, Sara Soares, Taylor Derby, Demi Greco, Dominic Balestreri and Lindsey Strain.
With proceeds from the 2009 charity golf tournament (6) $500 scholarships for a total of $3,000 were given away. The scholarship recipients were Ashley Collingwood, Rocco Cunningham, Mackenzie Vanderbur, Kaitlyn Defanti, Eric Eitel and Drew Pawlan.
With proceeds from the 2008 charity golf tournament (4) $500 scholarships for a total of $2,000 were given away. The scholarship recipients were John Sampietro, Nicole Gueretta, Mirlena Zuniga and Samuel Cheda.
With proceeds from the 2007 charity golf tournament (2) $500 scholarships for a total of $1,000 were given away. The scholarship recipients were Shelby Ronsheimer and Angelina Bordessa.
